Wednesday morning, November 30, 2016 at approximately 1:30 a.m. an F2 Tornado directly hit our community. The force of the storm completely destroyed several of our church facilities and rendered the remainder so damaged that they were beyond use. Throughout the entire ordeal, there was no loss of life.

We are a truly blessed congregation. A building was immediately made available for our church family and a host of workers cleaned the building while others transported chairs and furnishings so that we could meet on December 4, 2016 as a church.

A very suitable building has been leased and Fairview Christian Academy began classes on December 7, 2016 with only one week of interruption. Sunday, December 4, 2016, our first service after the tornado, our people cried and laughed together. Our church family has been strengthened, unified, and encouraged.

I have said repeatedly that I am the most blessed pastor in America. I serve a great God who has been faithful to meet our needs. Our people are exceptional, optimistic, and positive. We are working diligently to maintain our ministries, our testimonies, and our mission and purpose. Our church, which is made up of individual believers, has become comfortable and complacent. We have a priceless opportunity before us to evaluate our lives and our service to our Savior. I plead with you to not miss the moment. Examine your prayer life, devotional life and faithfulness to your church.

As we walk thru this experience, may God richly bless each member, and our church as a whole, knowing the God of the mountain is also the God of the valley.
