Worship

What a beautiful spring morning to wake up and come to Fairview Baptist Church to worship the Lord. To worship is an amazing thing, almost too big for us. But when was the last time we've been lifted up to Him in worship. Sure we look forward to Sunday worship, but what about Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday?

With God's greatness of wisdom and holiness in nature, no one of this universe but God should be worshiped. Nothing can be taken away or concealed from God. God knows all about us although we try hard to put a face on and walk about like no one knows, but God does know. God knows our thoughts even before we do. God knows our prayers even before we say them. Our merciful, gracious, kind and powerful God can put His finger on even those things that are wicked.

So when we talk about building ourselves up, of course we want to worship our God. We pray, read our bibles, even sing. So lets be overwhelmed in worship in the spirit and truth of God. Lets not get too busy, for we can never lift ourselves up. How long has is been since you worshiped?

"O Lord, thou hast searched me, and known me. Thou knowest my downsitting and mine uprising, thou understandest my thought afar off. Thou compassest my path and my lying down, and art acquainted with all my ways. For there is not a word in my tongue, but, lo, O LORD, thou knowest it altogether. Thou hast beset me behind and before, and laid thine hand upon me. Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; it is high, I cannot attain unto it."
