What happens when we trust Jesus as our personal Savior? Of course it changes everything. The difference Jesus makes in our lives is miraculous. The Gospel of Christ has a transforming power, an imputation and an appeal to Christian principals.
There is a transforming power in the gospel of grace. It isn't as simple doing good works and having to do your best. These things are good, but nothing can save you but the blood of Jesus Christ. There is so much power in the gospel, lives can be in shambles until Christ is put first. Looking back on our lives, where would we be without the grace of God?
Imputation means that God gives to us what we do not deserve. We've done so many wrongs and sin, but when the Lord Jesus went to the cross, he paid for our past, present and futures sins. All of our sins have been placed on Christ and God was satisfied that Jesus paid it all.
Finally, when we've trusted Jesus as our personal Savior, we want to appeal to Christian principals. Our feelings and what we believe will come from the scriptures. We will have a concern for others and we will love what Jesus loves. We think of our church and the spiritual needs of all the people around us. If we go through life and live it for ourselves, we will certainly be a miserable people.
Oh yes, when we trust Christ as our personal Savior, we will see many changes in our lives. We become profitable to God in our salvation. Jesus will make all the difference in the world. He has a way to touch our lives with His sweet and tender Holy Spirit. What a difference only Jesus can make!
"Hearing of thy love and faith, which thou hast toward the Lord Jesus, and toward all saints; That the communication of thy faith may become effectual by the acknowledging of every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus." Philemon 1:5-6
