Complete in Christ

Happy Mother's Day! What a blessed morning to come together to honor our mothers and to worship our Lord.

As the hymn say "Complete in Thee", how complete are we in Christ? Today we are so incomplete in ourselves and if we aren't careful, it can lead to a pretty bad slope in our lives. As believers, are we living our Christian lives on our own, or are we finding our strength in the Lord? When Jesus Christ lives in us, that is our hope and glory and we don't have anything to be afraid of.

We can receive so much strength in the Lord if we can give our lives to Christ. We always have all of Him but does He have all of us? As believers we need to understand that we need to also mature. When the Spirit of God is in complete control of our lives, we don't have to just wander in the wilderness. So often we let the thoughts and standards of the world in our lives, but we must see, hear and understand His word so we are able to discern between good and evil. Stay in God's presence and not encased in things that will hold us down and drag us back.

Lets take the time to evaluate our lives based on the scriptures. Learn to understand the ineffectiveness of ourselves and the effectiveness of God. We are by no means perfect. We are also not made perfect by what we do. Yes, we must attend church, read our bibles, pray and also give. But doing works will not make us perfect, complete or mature. When we live our lives for Christ, that's when we can be complete. Only in Christ are we made whole. So let Jesus put His arms around us and let the Holy Spirit guide our hearts.  Let our hands be empty so that Christ can fill them!

"Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God," Hebrews 6:1
