Fasten your seatbelts and get ready for a great four-day trip! We begin our journey this morning with our annual missions' conference. Four missionary families seeking prayer and financial support are with us for the conference.

During this week you will have opportunities to see presentations, hear testimonies, and feel the burden of those who are making plans to go to the place God has called them. Our services will be regular today. Monday and Wednesday services are at 7:00 p.m. The International Supper will be held at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday evening in the American Bedding Warehouse located at 276 Dennis Street.

Take the next four days to major on missions! Here are a few opportunities available for you:

  • Attend every service. (Come early and stay late).
  • Visit the missionary displays and take literature.
  • Evaluate your Faith Promise giving for the coming year and do as God leads you.
  • Bring a guest to the services.
  • Write a note of encouragement to a missionary.

I am praying that these will be days of revival and spiritual stirring for all our people. This is one aspect of the Christian ministry that requires the attention of every believer. We have all received the Great Commission. As God enables, we should participate. Ray Thompson of Baptist International Missions said, "A mission's conference is a local church in business meeting deciding the fate of the heathen." One thing we cannot do about world missions is to get rid of our responsibility.

Let us all pray that the Lord will put the whole world in the heart of this local church.
