Brother Gardner spent over 20 years serving as a missionary, pastor, and church planter in Peru, starting several churches, a TV and radio ministry, as well as a Bible college. He returned to the states in 2006, where he established the ministry of Vision Baptist Church and the Our Generation Training Center in Alpharetta, GA. Pastor Gardner will be speaking in every service today.
We are excited to welcome Pastor Chuck Herrell as our second Heritage Month speaker. He is Brother Matt Herrell's dad. Pastor Chuck has served the Chilhowee Baptist Church in Chilhowee, VA for 23 years. You will enjoy his ministry during Sunday School, the morning hour, and in the evening service at 6:00 p.m
Dr. Mike Allison, is our first Heritage Month speaker for the month of August. He has been the pastor of the Madison Baptist Church in Madison, AL since 1989. Dr. Allison will be speaking during Sunday School at 10:00 a.m., the morning worship hour at 11:00 a.m. and during the evening service at 6:00 p.m.
Our ladies will be honoring Ellie Hernandez with a Bridal Shower after the evening service. The shower will be held at the home of Tim and Barb McDonald. Guests are asked to drop by between 7:30 and 9:00 p.m. to congratulate the bride and enjoy some refreshments. Ellie and Jordan Taylor will be united in marriage June 23.
This banquet is for ladies and young ladies (ages 5 and up). We will enjoy a delicious catered meal, music, and a heart-warming program. The cost of the banquet is $13.00 for adults and $6.00 for young ladies ages 5-12. Join us in the Fellowship Hall on Dennis Street at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, May 12.
Alan Brooks, the Southeast Asia Assistant at Baptist International Missions, will be speaking in the evening service. We will be presenting our "Gift for Jesus" (Bible distribution to secondary school students in Papua New Guinea) to Brother Brooks for this great project.
Our annual missions' conference begins this Sunday, October 23. Sunday services are 10 AM, 11 AM, and 6 PM; Monday and Wednesday at 7 PM. An International Supper will be held Tuesday evening, October 25 at 6:30 PM in the activity center. This year's conference will feature candidates from South Africa, China, Haiti, India and Chile.
Dr. David Gibbs, Founder of the Christian Law Association, will be speaking during the Sunday School hour at 10 a.m. in a combined class of adults and teens in the main auditorium. Dr. Gibbs will also speak in the morning and evening services (11 a.m. and 6 p.m.) A nursery is provided for all services.
Photos will be taken Sunday, September 18 after the morning and evening services. This session is provided for new members, families with new 'additions', or for those whose families have changed (students in college) etc. Please call the church office if you have questions.
