What time are your services?
Sunday School is at 10:00 AM, the Sunday Morning Service at 11:00 AM, the Sunday Evening Service at 6:00 PM, and the Wednesday Evening Service at 7:00 PM.
Do you have a nursery?
Yes. A staffed nursery for birth through age 3 is open at every service. Children’s church for age 4 through 6th grade meets during the Sunday Morning Service in the school building. A changing table and a nursing mothers’ room are available. You can read more on Plan Your Visit.
How do I find the church?
Fairview Baptist Church is at 261 County Road 439, Athens, TN 37303, just off Highway 30 near Mayfield Dairy Farms and across from the Eureka Trail trailhead. There is a free parking lot on site, and the building has a wheelchair accessible entrance, seating, restroom, and parking.
Is there anything for teenagers?
Yes. The youth group is for 7th through 12th grade, and Sunday School has separate classes for teen boys and teen girls. Our other ministries are listed on the Ministries page.
What kind of church is Fairview?
Fairview is an independent, fundamental Baptist church organized in 1953. Pastor Matt Herrell is the pastor, Gavin Reed is the assistant pastor, and Kyle Herrell is the youth pastor. You can read what we believe on the About Us page and meet the rest of the staff on Our Staff.
Can I watch a service online?
Yes. Services are streamed at fairviewathens.org/livestream and on the church’s YouTube channel.
Does the church have a school or a camp?
Yes. Fairview Christian Academy is a K-12 school on the same campus, and Camp Fairview is a Christian camp and retreat center in Riceville. Both are ministries of Fairview Baptist Church.
